The thirty-fourth royal musical composition was written in 1959 on the occasion of the royal private visit to thailand of Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra of Kent, the United Kingdom. His Majesty asked Mom Rajawong Seni Pramoj to write the English lyrics to the short 16-bar tune that he composed. It was perfomed for the first time at Phaka Phirom Hall, Chitralada Villa as a welcome tune for Princess Alexandra on Sunday, 1 October 1959. Later in 1973, Her Majesty the Queen felt that the composition Alexandra was of gentle and sweet genre, suitable for Thai lyrics. She thus asked for the royal permission for Thanpuying Maniratana Bunnag to write Thai lyrics, His Majesty considered that his composition Alexandra was short, with only 16 bars, so he added the middle and end sections to make it a 32-bar tune.
