The forty-seventh royal musical composition was written in December 1994 at Her Majesty the Queen's request that a melody be made for a 3-verse poem written by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn when she was 12. His Majesty gave the tune to the Aw Saw Wan Suk Band to be played every Friday and Sunday for the whole month of December 1994. Later after revising, he give it to Mr. Manrat Srikaranonda to be arranged for the performance when His Majesty joined the Aw Saw Wab Suk Band at the banquet on New Year's Eve of 1995 at Borom Phiman Mansion in the Grand Palace. His Majesty had the lyrics of the composition "Rak" distributed to guests at every table beforehand. The guests, privy councilors, cabinet, ministers, such as former prime minister Chuan Leekpai and senior police officers were then invited to sing on stage table by table, personally led by His Majesty on his saxophone. The composition was later broadcasted on Cho So 100 Radio in early 1995.
