          เพลงพระราชนิพนธ์ลำดับที่ ๔ ทรงพระราชนิพนธ์ในพุทธศักราช ๒๔๘๙ ขณะทรงเป็นสมเด็จพระอนุชา  ธิราช ทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้ศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ประเสริฐ ณ นคร ประพันธ์คำร้องภาษาไทย โดยมีพระเจ้า วรวงศ์เธอ พระองค์เจ้าจักรพันธ์เพ็ญศิริ ทรงช่วย ส่วนคำร้องภาษาอังกฤษ ทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้ท่านผู้หญิงนพคุณ ทองใหญ่ ณ อยุธยา ประพันธ์ขึ้นและพระเจ้าวรวงศ์เธอ พระองค์เจ้าจักรพันธ์เพ็ญศิริ ทรงช่วยแก้ไขแล้วพระราชทานให้วงดนตรีสุนทราภรณ์ นำออกมาบรรเลงครั้งแรกทางสถานีวิทยุกรายเสียงกรมโฆษณาการ  (กรมประชาสัมพันธ์ปัจจุบัน) เมื่อเดือนกรกฎาคม พุทธศักราช ๒๔๘๙

Royal Composition Number 4

          The Fourth royal composition was written in 1946 while His Majesty was entitled the Royal Younger Brother. He granted it to Professor Dr. Prasert Na Nagara to write the lyrics in Thai, with the assistance of His Royal Highness Prince Chakrabhand Pensiri, and the lyrics in English by Thanpuying Nopakhun Thongyai Na Ayudhya, with His Royal Highness Prince Chakrabhand Pensiri’s help in refining the version. It was granted to the Suntharaporn Band to be performed for the first time on the Radio Broadcasting Station of the Department of Publicity (the present Public Relations Department) in July 1946.
