ความฝันอันสูงสุด : “Kwam Fan An Sung Sut”

เพลงพระราชนิพนธ์ลำดับที่ 43

          เพลงพระราชนิพนธ์ลำดับที่ 43 ทรงพระราชนิพนธ์ในพุทธศักราช 2514 ท่านผู้หญิงมณีรัตน์บุนนาคเล่าไว้ในหนังสือ “ภิรมย์รัตน์” ว่าเมื่อตนตามเสด็จฯ ไปอยู่ที่ตำหนักภูพิงค์ราชนิเวศน์พุทธศักราช 2512 ได้รับ     พระราชเสาวนีย์จากสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าฯ พระบรมราชินีนาถ ให้เขียนกลอนแสดงความนิยมส่งเสริมคนดีให้มีกำลังใจทำงานเพื่ออุดมคติเพื่อประเทศชาติ

          “ข้าพเจ้าค่อยๆ คิดคำกลั่นกรองให้ตรงกับความหมายเท่าที่จะสามารถ แล้วทูลเกล้าฯ ถวายทอดพระเนตรทรงพระกรุณาติชม จนผลสุดท้ายออกมาเป็นกลอน 5 บท... ความบันดาลใจในเรื่องนี้มีที่มาจากการสังเกตของข้าพเจ้าได้รู้เห็นพระราชอัธยาศัยพระราชจริยวัตรที่พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว ทรงประพฤติปฏิบัติอยู่ทุกเมื่อเชื่อวัน ไม่เสื่อมคลาย”

          สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าฯ พระบรมราชินีนาถทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้พิมพ์กลอนบทนี้ลงในกระดาษการ์ดแผ่นเล็กๆ พระราชทานข้าราชการ ทหาร ตำรวจ พลเรือน และผู้ทำงานเพื่อประเทศชาติ เตือนสติมิให้ท้อถอยในการทำความดีเพราะบ้านเมืองขณะนั้นยุ่งอลเวงน่าเป็นห่วงอนาคตของประเทศชาติ ต่อมาสมเด็จ พระนางเจ้าฯ พระบรมราชินีนาถได้กราบบังคมทูลพระกรุณาขอพระราชทานทำนองเพลงพระราชนิพนธ์ใส่ คำกลอน “ความฝันอันสูงสุด” ซึ่งเป็นเพลงพระราชนิพนธ์ที่รู้จักกันแพร่หลายทุกวันนี้ นับเป็นเพลงที่แต่งคำร้องก่อนพระราชนิพนธ์ทำนอง

Royal Composition Number 43

         The forty-third royal musical composition was written in 1971. Thanpuying Maniratana Bunnag related in the book “ Phirom Ratana” that when she accompanied the royal party to stay at Bhubing Palacein 1969 , she was instructed by Her Majesty the Queen to write a poem

encouraging the well-intentioned to work for their ideals and for the nation.

          “...I carefully searched for words to communicate the messageat the best of my ability and gradually presented to Her Majestyfor review, until finally I got five simple verses. My inspirationcame from my close observation of the determination of His Majesty in carrying out his duties day in and day out...”

          Her Majesty the Queen had the poem printed on small cards anddistributed to officials, soldiers , police and civilians who work for thecountry , reminding them not to be discouraged in performing gooddeeds as the country was then in turmoil and the future was threatened.

         Her Majesty the Queen later requested the melody for the poem "Kwam Fan An Sung Sut" from His Majesty which become a widelyknown royal composition .It was the song with the lyrics composed first before the tune was written.
