“เราไม่ได้มองโลกอย่างที่โลกเป็น แต่เรามองโลกผ่านความหมายที่จิตของเราสร้างขึ้น”

                   
          4 กรกฎาคม หลายคนอาจนึกถึง ‘วันประกาศอิสรภาพ’ หรือ Independence Day วันที่เป็นสัญลักษณ์ของการปลดแอกจากอำนาจภายนอก แต่ใน “Independent Mind” นิทรรศการศิลปกรรมที่จะพาก้าวข้ามอิสรภาพทางการเมือง แต่เป็นการสำรวจความเป็นไปได้ของการ ‘ปลดปล่อย’ ตนเองจากความยึดติด ความกลัว ความปรารถนา ความสับสน และการปรุงแต่งอันไม่สิ้นสุดของจิตใจ และชวนกลับมาให้สำรวจพื้นที่ภายในของจิตใจ ผ่านผลงานจิตรกรรม ประติมากรรม และเรื่องเล่าเชิงสัญลักษณ์ของสองศิลปินมากฝีมืออย่าง นิพันธ์ สุวรรณกาศ และ ประสิทธิ์ วิชายะ ที่จะพาผู้ชมย้อนมองภูมิทัศน์ภายในจิตใจ ตั้งคำถามกับ "ความจริง" ที่เรารับรู้ และเปิดพื้นที่ให้แต่ละคนได้ค้นพบคำตอบด้วยตนเอง ที่นำเสนอหลากหลายสภาวะของจิตมนุษย์ พร้อมเชื้อเชิญให้ผู้ชมพิจารณาว่าความคิดและอารมณ์ต่าง ๆ มีบทบาทอย่างไรต่อการรับรู้และประสบการณ์ของความเป็นจริง บางที “อิสรภาพ” อาจมิได้หมายถึงสภาวะภายนอก หากแต่เป็นกระบวนการภายในของการตระหนักรู้ ความเข้าใจ และการปล่อยวาง

“We do not see the world as it is; we see it through the meanings our minds create.”

For many, 4 July is synonymous with Independence Day, a celebration of freedom from external rule. Yet Independent Mind invites you to look beyond political independence and consider another kind of liberation: freedom from attachment, fear, desire, confusion, and the endless constructions of the mind itself.

Through paintings, sculptures, and symbolic narratives by artists Niphan Suwannakas and Prasit Wichaya, the exhibition encourages viewers to journey inward, exploring the landscapes of the human mind. Their works question the nature of reality as we perceive it and reveal how thoughts and emotions shape our understanding of the world, while leaving space for each viewer to discover their own interpretations.

Perhaps true independence is not merely a condition of the outside world, but an inner process of awareness, understanding, and letting go.
