The thirty-sixth royal musical composition was written in 1962. His Majesty performed the tune for faculty members, students and officials of Thammasat University for the first time at Ambara Dance Hall on 30 March 1962. Thammasat University then asked for royal permission to let Mr. Roikaeo Rakthai, a renowned lyricist to compose the lyrics. His Majesty had the complete song performed for the university on the occasion of his visit to play music at the university for the first time on 9 February 1963. His Majesty also planted five flame - trees in commemoration of his visit and presentation of the university song at Thammasat University.
